Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls to Conduct Closed Beta Test in Early September

On Aug. 3, 2025, Arc System Works announced that the upcoming fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will conduct its first beta test on Sept. 5-7, 2025. This test will only be available on the PlayStation 5.
The test will allow people to use six characters: Doctor Doom, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Storm, Iron Man and Captain America. A trailer accompanied the announcement, which mentioned an online lobby and “limited offline matches.” The developers did not explain what things are limited.
Arc System Works has confirmed that the game will have rollback netcode and spectator mode. The developers also made Guilty Gear Strive, which is considered one of the best fighting games when it comes to rollback netcode, allowing for a very smooth online fighting game experience.
Interested players can register through the link provided in the developer’s X post. They also notified the players about receiving an “Invalid Link” error, clarifying that if they received this, it’s most likely because they are already registered to the PlayStation Beta Program.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is expected to be released sometime in 2026. The game was available to play at Evo Vegas 2025, where the developers also showed bits and pieces of the game’s mechanics for the first time to the public.
