Elden Ring: Nightreign received Patch 1.02, which included a two-player mode, on July 31, 2025, one day later than initially planned due to a tsunami warning issued after an 8.7-magnitude underwater earthquake on July 30, 2025.
Besides that, the patch added new filtering options to the Relic Effect filter screen for a more precise selection of Relic effects. An update also added several other UI adjustments, about 47 bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, Elden Ring: Nightreign is playable on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Set in a land called Limveld, Elden Ring: Nightreign features a shrinking gameplay area that resets each time players defeat the minor boss at the end of an in-game day. While the title intends cooperation, it is missing both voice and text chat.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement that Elden Ring: Nightreign surpassed 5 million copies sold globally in less than two months since its launch on May 30, 2025.
As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with 92,745 reviews and a peak of 313,593 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
