Deep Rock Galactic Throws Space Beach Party

Deep Rock Galactic launched the Space Beach Party event on July 31, 2025, which will run until August 14, 2025.

During the event, players can get a new celebratory Swim Instructor hat by completing a special work assignment. Space Beach Party also offers an opportunity to collect the full set of summer hats for players who didn’t manage to obtain them in previous years. Besides that, during the event, players can earn a Double Performance Pass Point Bonus by collecting inflatable pool toys in the caves. Also, during the Space Beach Party event, the Space Rig can be decorated with a special summery theme.

Developed by Danish studio Ghost Ship Games and published by Coffee Stain Publishing, Deep Rock Galactic was fully released on May 13, 2020, for Microsoft Windows PC and Xbox One following a two-year-long early access period that started on February 28, 2018. The game was then ported to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in January 2022, and to Xbox Series X|S in September 2022.

Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative first-person shooter centered primarily around missions (also referred to as game modes, with a total of nine) that take place in fully destructible, procedurally generated cave systems, which vary in terrain, objectives, hazards, and enemies depending on the selected biome and mission type. The game is playable solo or in teams of up to three other players.

As of the time of writing, the game has a “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 278,087 reviews and a peak of 54,160 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.

On March 20, 2021, Deep Rock Galactic won in the categories of Indie Game of the Year and Excellence in Multiplayer at the South by Southwest festival. Also, the game has sold over eight million units as of January 2024.
