Key points
  1. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers developers have released a new optimization plan for the game.
  2. The press release did not address the issue players found about the game not being able to run in native resolution now.
  3. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is currently suffering from bad reviews due to its PC optimization.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers developers released a much more detailed statement regarding the actions they’re taking to fix the game’s optimization issues. However, the statement did not address the oversampling resolution slider issue players have found.

The developers opened the statement by apologizing and quickly switched to how they would compensate the players for the errors in pre-order rewards. Players who bought the Deluxe Edition will receive a total of four costumes, four weapons, and three headgear items. Those with the Standard Edition of the game will receive three headgear items.

Regarding the game’s performance and optimization issues, the developers provided a short bullet point of what they’re going to do:

  • Fix crashes across different devices
  • Improve frame rates and reduce lag on certain graphics cards
  • Optimize default settings for some graphics cards
  • Correct the speed of getting up after being knocked down
  • Reduce damage and the number of some traps
  • Lower impact resistance of certain low-level monsters
  • Reduce exploration pressure in some areas
  • Fix issues caused by missing items leading to quest interruptions
  • Improve AI logic for monsters and bosses
  • Enhance texture quality in low-resolution areas
  • Improve asset detail and precision in some regions

Notice that the developers did not mention a problem that was spotted by players regarding the game’s oversampling resolution slider. Gaming.News recently reported that players have found that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers does not run in native resolution anymore due to the slider showing false values.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is an action RPG released on July 24, 2025. Currently, it’s being plagued by bad reviews due to its optimization on PC. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
