Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey collaboration with Reverse: 1999 will launch on August 7, 2025.
Originally teased in May 2025, as reported by Gaming.News, the collaboration is about to bring Ezio, Kassandra, and Alexios, characters from Assassin’s Creed’s fictional universe, to the world of the turn-based tactical role-playing title developed and published by Bluepoch for Android, iOS, and Windows PC.
All the characters are coming adapted to the chibi-style visuals of Reverse: 1999. On top of that, Kassandra will bring an exclusive abilities system, while Ezio will bring an exclusive weapon system with him.
Reverse: 1999 is set in a fictional universe permeated with a mystical force called Arcanum, which allows Arcanists, a marginalized group capable of wielding it, to travel through time.
The story of the game begins on the final day of 1999, when a mysterious event called The Storm triggered a chaotic disruption in time, causing various eras to shift both backward and forward. This temporal disturbance led to the disappearance of people and objects from different eras and places. The phenomenon was named a ‘reverse.’
Players assume the role of Vertin, a Timekeeper and Arcanist from the St. Pavlov Foundation, uniquely immune to the effects of the Storm. Alongside her team, Vertin journeys through various eras to confront the Manus, a mysterious group seeking to exploit the Storm, and uncover vital clues that may hold the key to stopping it altogether.
The minimum PC system requirements for the game, according to its Steam page, are a Windows 10 64-bit operating system, an Intel Core i5-2300 CPU, at least 8 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with 2 GB of VRAM. The title also requires 20 GB of available storage space.
As of the time of writing, Reverse: 1999 has over a million downloads on the Google Play Store and a 4.8 out of 5 star rating based on over 79,000 reviews, along with the same rating on the App Store based on approximately 10,000 reviews.
