Monster Hunter Now Reveals August 2025 Event Lineup

On July 28, 2025, Monster Hunter Now developers released the game’s lineup of events happening in August of this year. Additionally, they also revealed the exclusive packs they will be releasing to the game’s web store.

Four events will be happening in August on Monster Hunter Now:

• Driftsmelting Bonanza! Event (Aug. 4-10)
• Even Happier Great Sword Hunting! (Aug. 11-17)
• Jaws of Flame and Thunder (Aug. 18-24)
• Catastrophe at Summer’s End (Aug. 25-31)

Driftsmelting Bonanza! allows players to hunt monsters such as Kirin, Zinogre, Rajang, Tobi-Kadachi, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku and Khezu more frequently for a chance of acquiring more driftstones to make their armors more powerful. Additionally, the developers mentioned that there will be new driftstones to collect.

Even Happier Great Sword Hunting introduces Great Girros as a new Riftborne monster. This event will focus more on those who like hunting using the Great Sword, as it will boost certain Great Sword weapons and armor, making hunting a lot easier. Shining Eggs can also be gathered during this event.

Jaws of Flame and Thunder will be the first time Fulgur Anjanath will be available on Monster Hunter Now. Additionally, both Fulgur Anjanath and Anjanath will be more common during the event.

Lastly, Catastrophe at Summer’s End will focus more on Elder Dragon Interceptions. The press release mentioned that Elder Dragon interception points will appear more frequently and that basic rewards for both repelling and slaying Elder Dragons will be increased.

Monster Hunter Now is a mobile game released in 2023. It’s Niantic’s take on Monster Hunter mobile gaming, where players can team up with other players to defeat monsters using augmented reality, similar to Pokémon GO.
