On July 24, Leenzee Games and 505 Games issued a statement addressing three problems Wuchang: Fallen Feathers had during its launch. The game had issues regarding its pricing, pre-order rewards and optimization.
According to the developers, they are now working on a patch to help players who are having issues with the game’s optimization. For now, they recommend that players adjust their settings in line with the Frequently Asked Questions on the game’s website.
For the pricing errors, Leenzee Games and 505 Games claim to be working with Steam to restore the game’s correct pricing in certain regions. At its launch, the game bounced between $30 and $36.99 in both Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa.
Lastly, the developers also mentioned the game’s pre-order reward errors. As compensation, the developers announced that they are giving away the game’s soundtrack to all players who purchased the game on Steam. They will also refund those who have purchased the same item.
Additionally, those who will purchase the Deluxe Edition in future updates will receive a “brand-new exclusive costume.” The developers asked the players to wait for this patiently and have not provided any additional information.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was released on July 24, 2025, for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It currently has a generally favorable rating on Metacritic, but its Steam version has a “Mostly Negative” review score.
