- A winning entry in the Street Fighter 6 Art Contest was removed after the developers confirmed the use of generative AI.
- The developers said that they are going to replace the winning entry at a later date.
- The Street Fighter Art Contest New Challenger Edition started on June 2, 2025.
On July 25, 2025, Capcom announced that an entry in the latest Street Fighter Art Contest New Challenger Edition had been removed. The developers determined that the entry used generative AI, which is against the contest’s rules.
However, the developers clarified that the “entry in question will remain available for voting in the Battle Hub until the end of the voting period,” which isn’t ideal. Players who have no idea about the announcement might waste their vote on an entry that is not valid.
While Capcom did not mention which entry it was, buzz in the community and the replies under the announcement point to the character Kimberly. A few days ago, several people shared their thoughts regarding a winning entry for Kimberly, with one even publishing a pretty detailed Google Doc.

When these allegations came to light, the winning artist deleted their X account, which only increased suspicion. Not only that, but people also discovered that the account was created in June of this year, which coincides with the start of the art contest.
Capcom mentioned that the disqualified entry will be replaced at a later date but did not mention a timeframe.
The Street Fighter Art Contest New Challenger Edition started on June 2, 2025. Capcom holds these contests every now and then to increase the number of options players have when it comes to their “Here Comes A New Challenger” screen.
