Ubisoft revealed the release dates for New Game+ in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the game’s first DLC, Claws of Awaji.
The announcement was made via Ubisoft’s official website, citing July 29, 2025, as the release date of New Game+ and September 16, 2025, as the launch day of the Claws of Awaji expansion.

New Game+ will be available after completion of the final story mission. The feature will reset the story and objective board progression along with all discovered locations, but will leave character level, acquired gear, skill points, knowledge rank, and Hideout progression untouched.
As for the expansion, Ubisoft promised that Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji will bring over 10 hours of new story chapters, along with a new region, weapon, abilities, outfits, enemy faction, and bosses.
The date reveal came just two days after Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows surpassed the 5-million-player mark.
Developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, the 14th major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, is set in 16th-century Japan and focuses on the standoff between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order, allowing players to control two protagonists: samurai Yasuke and shinobi Naoe.
As of the time of writing, the game is available on macOS and Windows PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a version for iPadOS planned for release at a later date. It also has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam, based on 21,209 reviews, and an all-time peak of 64,825 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
