Overwatch 2 Wuyang’s entire kit was leaked on social media, revealing the hero’s weapon, abilities, and ultimate ability. The leak occurred July 24 courtesy of Ska’Vorah on X; the user shared the display of the typical Overwatch 2 hero description menu, thereby helping warrant the leaks’ legitimacy.
Here is an overview of Overwatch 2’s newest upcoming hero:
Weapon
- Xuanwu Staff (left click): Fire a damaging water orb. Hold to control it’s trajectory and empower it’s explosion.
- Restorative Stream (right click): Place a passive healing stream on an ally. Hold on the target to manually heal at an improved rate, consuming resource.
Abilities
- Guardian Wave: Send a water wave forward that increases the amount of healing received by allies and knocks back enemies.
- Rushing Torrent: Ride water to move faster and jump higher.
Ultimate
- Tidal Blast: Protect an ally or yourself with water that detonates after a short duration. The explosion knocks down enemies and massively heals the blast target.
Overwatch 2 Wuyang is scheduled to release on August 26 at 11 am PT. The weekend trial for the hero takes place from August 14 to 18, scheduled as a part of the mid-season patch for Season 17. The character was previously codenamed Aqua and is the twelfth installment in the hero support role.
