Elden Ring: Nightreign, a spin-off to the original Elden Ring, and the DLC to the same base game, Shadow of the Erdtree, reached new sales milestones according to the post on the Steam page of the initial franchise title.
Notably, the original 2022’s Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, sold over 30 million copies and landed on the list of the best-selling games of all time. As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” Steam rating with 777,534 reviews and an all-time peak of 953,426 players.
Regarding the new sales milestone of the only DLC to the original title, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, it has sold 10 million copies. As of the time of writing, the expansion, launched on June 20, 2024, by the same developer and publisher as the base game, has a “Very Positive” Steam rating with 81,030 reviews.
As for the new record of Elden Ring‘s spin-off, which was also developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released on May 30, 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign sold 5 million copies in less than two months since launch. As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” Steam rating with 91,351 reviews and an all-time peak of 313,593 players.
