- Atelier Yumia’s collaboration with Tekken 8 shows the protagonist using new finishing moves.
- Tekken 8’s side only gave Reina a cowlick and a floating Puni.
- Atelier Yumia was released in March 2025 and is the fastest-selling Atelier game.
Koei Tecmo published a video on July 23 showcasing Atelier Yumia’s collaboration with Tekken 8, and the developers said that the game will be receiving special quests, new finishing moves, costumes and accessories.
The video showed a blue slime creature called a Puni with Heihachi’s signature mustache and hair. There’s also a portion where players could see Yumia doing a finishing combo that’s inspired by Reina from Tekken 8. Finally, the video also showed Yumia wearing a Heihachi wig, resulting in a quite hilarious appearance.
The collaboration between the two games has been a hot topic, especially on Tekken 8’s side. Earlier this month, Tekken 8 released a trailer featuring Reina with a simple cowlick and a Blue Puni, baffling Tekken 8’s fans, as it seemed like the development team did not put any effort into the collaboration.
Atelier Yumia’s side of the collaboration is now in full swing. Players simply have to download the DLC to their respective consoles. The developers did not provide more information regarding the quests, but seeing how the DLC is free, players can simply find out for themselves.
Released in March 2025, Atelier Yumia is the newest entry in Koei Tecmo’s Atelier franchise. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Atelier Yumia sold over 300,000 copies within the first week of its launch, making it the fastest-selling Atelier game.
