As for the level cap increase, the maximum level was upped from 60 to 80, regardless of whether players are in New Game+ or not. This brings new Knoweldge Ranks, Mastery and Knowledge Skill ranks, and upgrades for all Hideout buildings. One of the upgrades is scheduled for the July 29 update, while the other is coming in the latter Summer update.

Project 3 is also scheduled to appear during the July 29 update, providing new resources, data files, and exclusive Animus-themed rewards to collect.

More updates are scheduled for early September; no exact date has been provided. The official Assassin’s Creed: Shadows roadmap blog has more details regarding the planned updates.

Despite an initially controversial reception prior to release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows achieved over 3 million players after its official launch. This marked the second-highest revenue day 1 sales revenue for Assassin’s Creed franchise history.

Before the title was released, the world premiere trailer had a 33% like ratio on YouTube, indicating a negative opinion of the game. Expecting backlash from the community, Ubisoft implemented anti-harassment measures to protect its developers from social media scenarios. This included psychological and legal support for targeted employees.
