Stormgate to Launch Full Campaign Next Month, Exiting Early Access

Stormgate developers announced on July 23 that they will release the game’s campaign on Aug. 5. The update will also mark the game’s exit from early access and into its full release, as the developers feel that the game is ready to be enjoyed by its players fully.
The game’s campaign will be called Ashes of Earth. The developers did not reveal much information about it but have confirmed that a “robust 1v1 mode” will be included in the update. Terrain Editor Alpha and Co-Op mode are both confirmed to be added, too.
Aside from this, the developers mentioned that they will start naming their version in the conventional way for real-time strategy games, which is going to be through codenames. For example, the campaign update will be named Necrolyte, and the game’s fall update will be named Ornithopter.
The campaign includes 12 missions, and the developers promised that it’s going to be a complete story. However, they also plan to expand the game’s lore and universe, which means that there might be more missions in the future.
Stormgate was initially launched in June 2022 but only entered early access on Steam in 2024. The game currently has a 24-hour peak of only 76 players. Its all-time peak was reached a year ago at 4,854 players. Stormgate currently has “Mixed” reviews on Steam.
