GPU-Z Update Adds Support for GeForce RTX 3050 A Graphics Card

The latest GPU-Z update, version 2.67, added support for numerous graphics cards, including the RTX 3050 A – a variant of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050 that was initially released in 2022. The update to the kernel-mode driver was targeted towards hardening system integrity, since previously the driver could write to any physical memory, including the OS Kernel, according to the TechPowerUp update blog.
This update fixes a behavior that could have potentially allowed malware with admin access to bypass various forms of protection, such as Windows Defender’s Tamper Protection. The support was added for the following hardware:
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 (both desktop and mobile)
- RTX 3050 A based on AD106-A
- RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q and Server
- GRID A100D-40C
- Tesla PG503-216
- Radeon AI PRO R9700
- Arc PRO B50 and B60
GPU-Z updates are catered towards providing support for various hardware products, including various NVIDIA GPUs and AMD hardware. TechPowerUp is the development website directly responsible for the GPU-Z updates, but the company is not officially partnered with hardware manufacturers such as NVIDIA and AMD.
