Monument Valley 3 launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam on July 22, 2025.
Developed by Ustwo Games, the title was initially published by Netflix Games for iOS and Android on Dec. 10, 2024, but was delisted from the catalog of the subscription streaming service in July 2025, along with two previous installments of the series and 19 other titles.
In Monument Valley 3, players guide Noor through a series of illusions and puzzles to uncover the secrets of a mysterious world and discover the meaning behind the Sacred Light.
As of the time of writing, the sequel to 2017’s Monument Valley 2 has a Metascore of 74 points based on nine critic reviews and a user rating of 8.3 based on 16 user reviews.
Notably, according to the latest estimates from September 2019, total downloads of the first two parts of Monument Valley exceeded 80 million.
It is not clear yet if Monument Valley 3 will be re-released for mobile platforms.
On Dec. 12, 2024, Ustwo Games released a short animated film titled “The Lighthouse,” dedicated to the launch of Monument Valley 3. The movie follows Sula, who finds herself shipwrecked on a mystical and mysterious island. In search of what she once lost, she embarks on a journey to send out a signal to the world.
