Ready or Not, a tactical first-person shooter, sold its first million copies on consoles just four days after it landed on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 15, 2025.
The announcement was made by Julio Rodriguez, CEO of the game’s development and publishing company, VOID Interactive, via a celebratory post on LinkedIn on July 19, 2025.
The same day that the game landed on consoles, it also dropped on the Epic Games Store, in addition to Steam, which was the initial platform of the game’s release on Dec. 13, 2023.
Set in the crime-ridden streets of Los Sueños, Ready or Not allows players to assume the roles of elite SWAT operators facing bomb threats, hostage rescues, armed standoffs and other routine missions of a police tactical unit.
The console version of Ready or Not includes 20 missions, playable solo or co-op with up to four players, along with two new missions arriving as part of the free Stories from Los Sueños DLC. Notably, PC players received the new content as a free update simultaneously with the console version’s launch.
Ready or Not has an all-time peak of 55,174 concurrent players, according to SteamDB, and a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with 214,578 reviews, recently downgraded from “Very Positive” due to the in-game content tone softening the game’s developer implemented in order to release the game on consoles. This led to backlash from the game’s PC community, which was expressed in review bombing on Steam with 28,101 “Mostly Negative” recent reviews as of the time of writing.
With a million copies sold on consoles, Ready or Not has surpassed 10 million copies sold across all platforms.
