Atari and Bandai Namco partnered for Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary by creating an Atari 2600+ Pac-Man edition console. Preorder for the hardware goes live in a little under two days as of writing, opening on July 23. According to Video Games Chronicle, the preorder will cost $169.99; the console features a bright yellow design. 

At San Diego Comic-Con, Atari is scheduled to distribute 1,000 exclusive Golden Box Editions of Pac-Man: Double. The collection set costs $99.99 and will feature a  2-in-1 cartridge in one of five ghost colors alongside an exclusive patch and pin. 

Atari Unveils Special Pac-Man Console for 45th Anniversary

Costing $39.99, Wireless CS 40+ Joysticks in the following colors, based on the respective characters, will be available: Pac-Man, Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde. In addition, The Namco Collection DLC for Atari 50 is slated to release. This will cost $7.99, and will include Pac-Man 2600, Galaga, Dig Dug, Xevioius, Galaxian, and more classic arcade titles. 

Pac-Man was released in May 22, 1980 in Japan. It was designed by Toru Iwatani for Japanese company Namco, which later evolved into Bandai Namco. During its initial debut, Pac-Man was actually known as Puck-Man in Japan, but was later changed to preemptively prevent vandalization.
