Superman’s Call Crystal is set to spawn every match in Fortnite’s Battle Royale game mode. This set appearance is expected to last only for the weekend, according to the official Fortnite X account.
The drop rate of the item prior to the announcement was far more seldom, only dropping every couple of matches. Only one player per match can acquire the Call Crystal, in a similar fashion to the Star Destroyers, which rained destruction from the sky during the Star Wars collaboration.
The Superman Call Crystal spawns mid-match at a random time; players are made aware of the spawn via in-game announcement, which states, “Superman’s Call Has Appeared!”
Upon looking at the mini-map, players can discover the crystal via Superman’s iconic symbol. A hexagonal outline is shown surrounding it. As soon as the player interacts with the crystal, they will transform into Superman and be able to fly in the air.
