Key points
  1. Call of Duty is collaborating with “American Dad!” Starting July 17.
  2. Stan Smith is now playable, with Roger being added on July 20.
  3. Call of Duty has also announced the CODtoons Event.

Call of Duty announced that Black Ops 6 and Warzone are collaborating with “American Dad!” The developers announced that Stan Smith is now available, with Roger being added to the game on July 20.

Both the characters from “American Dad!” have been designed using cel-shaded techniques, which makes them unique and easily spotted while running around the map. Fan reception for the collaboration under the post’s replies is pretty negative, comparing the game’s current state to Fortnite with the number of collaborations happening.

Call of Duty does not shy away from collaborating with other franchises. Recently, the game has collaborated with “Beavis and Butt-Head,” adding both characters into the game. Even before that, the game welcomed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into its ranks.

Call of Duty’s collaboration with “American Dad!” adds a few weapon charms and more, but the promotional post for it didn’t really specify what things are going to be added. The game’s website does not talk about the collaboration either.

On July 17, Call of Duty developers announced the CODtoons Event, where players will see that the maps Rebirth Island (Warzone), Nuketown, Babylon, Skyline and Grind will have cel-shaded graphics. There’s also a new limited-time mode called Starting Room. Finally, rewards such as weapon camos, attachments and calling cards are also going to be handed to players.
