Key points

  1. Limbus Company has reached a cumulative number of 250,000 concurrent players on PC and mobile.
  2. Its recent burst of users can be attributed to the game’s July 17 update.
  3. SteamDB reveals that 115,862 players came from Steam, and the other half are from the mobile version.

On July 17, the developer of Limbus Company confirmed that the game’s concurrent player count, if Steam and mobile numbers were added, had reached 250,000. The developers have handed out a Decaextraction Ticket to celebrate the occasion.

The ticket can be used to perform 10 extractions from the game’s gacha mechanic. This is one way for players to obtain new Identities and E.G.Os, essentially the game’s version of characters and weapons.

The game’s recent burst of concurrent users can be attributed to the game’s recent update, which dropped on July 17. It’s a major update that includes the addition of new content, adjustments and bug fixes. The developers have also given away 300 Lunacy to all the players as compensation.

Looking into the game’s numbers on SteamDB reveals that the game recently had a 115,862 all-time player peak. Which means that the other half of the 250,000 player count came from mobile devices.

Limbus Company is a gacha game developed by Project Moon. The gameplay leans more into strategy, and it’s available on PC, iOS, Android and even Linux. The game’s characters are mostly references from literature spanning from the Greek Dark Ages period to more recent ones, such as the modern novel “Moby-Dick.”
