Champions Tactics launched its fifth numbered season right after the end of Season 4 on July 16, 2025.

The announcement was made via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Developed and published by Ubisoft, Champions Tactics is a PvP tactical RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Grimoria. Launched on Oct. 23, 2024, the game allows players to build their own teams of digital collectible NFT Champions, each with unique abilities.

As of the time of writing, the title is available on Windows PC via Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store and Steam.

The world of Champions Tactics is filled with djinns, humans, demons, transhumans, ghouls and the undead at a time when a game-changing discovery, Thunderstone, ignites a technological revolution but also leads to corruption and a clash of ideals in multiple confrontations. The title features seven different factions: Thunderstone Corporation, Cult of Eternity, Empire of Brallmeran, Guardians of Grimoria, Kingdom of Toriel, Tribes and Undying Dominion.

Champions Tactics features about 75,000 unique Champions, with an option for players to create new Champions by combining existing ones using the game’s crafting system, called the Forge.

Notably, according to the game’s official website, it is not accessible in the following countries and territories: Belarus, Bangladesh, Algeria, Burundi, China, Cuba, France, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Morocco, Nepal, North Korea, Myanmar, Qatar, Russia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the regions of Crimea, Sevastopol, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine, as well as the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic.
