Marvel Rivals Patch Update to Add Limited-Time Swimsuit Skins and Summer Event

NetEase published its patch notes blog, which teases the upcoming changes for Marvel Rivals. The update is scheduled to release on July 17 and adds the long-awaited Swimsuit costumes. The costumes become available the day after the patch drops and will be available until August 15.

As for the in-game event, it rewards players with a free costume: Thor – Worthy Waves. Summer Special is a limited-time event, beginning as soon as the patch begins and concluding on August 15.

Battle to earn XP and level up to unlock FREE rewards, including the new Thor – Worthy Waves costume!

1. Fixed an issue where modifying keybinds for keyboard and controller could affect each other under certain circumstances.

1. Fixed terrain issues that could cause characters to become stuck or clip through odd locations.
2. Resolved various issues, including floating broken objects, collision errors, etc.

Heroes

1. Monster Hulk’s Smash Mishaps: We’ve put a stop to a gamma-powered glitch where Monster Hulk’s Ultimate Ability could display incorrectly if the unlucky target happened to be on a portal during the grab animation. Now, when Hulk smashes, there’s no portal-twisting madness, just pure, unfiltered Hulk mayhem!
2. Magneto’s Magnetized Mix-ups: Fixed a bug where Magneto could still sometimes suffer negative effects when blocking Cloak’s Terror Cape with Metallic Curtain. Now, nothing will get through his ironclad defenses.

The Marvel Rivals Swimsuit special marks a return to the Swimsuit specials, which had been discontinued for the past 30 years. The swimsuit special used to be a yearly comic that showcased Marvel heroes and villains in tropical beach wear. As for the latest release, it is called “Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, & Rivals #1. It was written by Tim Seeley and Tony Fleecs, and drawn by Nick Bradshaw, Nic Kelin, Marguerite Sauvage, Luciano Vecchio, and more.
