Capcom Releases Street Fighter 6 Sagat Gameplay Trailer

|
- Street Fighter 6’s Sagat gameplay trailer shows that the fighter has kept his iconic moves.
- Sagat is the first character from Street Fighter 6’s Season Pass 3, and he’s coming out on Aug. 5.
- The next character coming out is C. Viper and should be out in fall 2025.
On July 16, Capcom finally released Sagat’s gameplay trailer, showcasing the Muay Thai fighter’s moves. The fighter retains his Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut and Tiger Knee, which are his iconic moves from previous games.
The trailer initially shows Sagat fighting Ryu, a classic matchup originating from the very first Street Fighter game, showcasing the aforementioned moves. Sagat seems to have kept his long reach and heavy punish game that leads to big damage.
His animations also seem to have a lot more impact, and compared to the final character from Season Pass 2, Elena, he’s definitely a lot more brutal. It’s unknown whether Sagat will be as much of a zoner as his Street Fighter V entry, but his projectile super is shown to beat Ryu’s in the trailer.
Sagat is Street Fighter 6’s first character from Season Pass 3 and will be released on Aug. 5, 2025. Those who have the Season Pass 3 will be able to use him on the said date. Players can also buy him using fighter coins should they only want to purchase Sagat specifically and are uninterested in the others.
Street Fighter 6’s Season Pass 3 contains four characters: Sagat, C. Viper, Ingrid and Alex. C. Viper is coming out in the fall, while Alex should be available early spring 2026. Lastly, Ingrid should be released in late spring 2026.
