Team Aryan player Hitler has been prohibited from using the controversial name by Esports World Cup (EWC) organizers. The player is now forced to change his name to be able to compete in the tournament, according to TalkEsports.

The team was able to secure a spot in the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025, happening at EWC 2025, after winning the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2025, where it faced teams such as NoNx Esports and Los Hermanos Esports.

PMWC 2025 is PUBG Mobile’s mid-season international event. Teams from all across the world will fly into Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and compete for a prize pool of $3 million. The event’s group stage starts on July 25, the survival stage on July 29 and the grand final on Aug. 1. PWMC 2025 will end on Aug. 3, where the champion of the tournament will be crowned.

There is no news regarding Hitler’s new name, but there should be a statement coming out within the next few days, considering that the event is happening a week and a half from the writing of this article.

PUBG Mobile is the mobile version of what is considered the game that popularized the battle royale genre, PUBG: Battlegrounds. It was released in 2018 but was banned in India in 2020. Krafton relaunched the game the next year and named it Battlegrounds Mobile India.
