Official Stellar Blade X Account Still Hacked by Unknown Individuals, Starts Posting About Cryptocurrency

On July 14, 2025, Hyung-Tae Kim, director of Stellar Blade, announced that the official X account of the game had been hacked, resulting in unauthorized posts regarding cryptocurrency. The director added that the team is working closely with X to restore the account.
While the account was seemingly retrieved by the team, a post on July 15 says otherwise. It was quickly deleted, but it mentioned a BLADE coin being released and that holding the token would “unlock special gear, upgrades, and events that make the game more fun.”
There could be myriad explanations why a cryptocurrency post might’ve popped up again, including a scheduled post the hackers left before being kicked out of the account and the developers leaving that tab unchecked. Another explanation might be that the hackers have gotten access to the account again for a brief moment and published the post.
Interestingly, Kim said in his post that “until we issue a formal notice of recovery, please disregard all content published from the account.” As of the writing of this article, no formal post claiming that the account has been recovered has been published.
