As of the time of writing, the game is still available on macOS and Windows PCs, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
In 2025, the game’s publishing rights were transferred to Big Fan Games, a label of Good Shepherd Entertainment’s parent company, Devolver Digital, focused on licensed games. The company states that existing owners of John Wick Hex will still be able to access the game via their digital libraries and physical copies.
Based on the John Wick franchise, the title serves as a narrative prequel to the movie series, was initially released for PC on October 8, 2019, and received console ports a year later.
Developed by Bithell Games, John Wick Hex is a timeline strategy game with elements of resource management, where the player maneuvers the character through a level on a hex-based grid, using various moves to defeat enemies and avoid being hit by enemies.
The game’s story follows John Wick on a mission to save Winston and Charon of the New York Continental from abduction by an international criminal mastermind, Hex.
