Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter Nights 2 – Enhanced Edition Goes Live Worldwide

Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition launched globally on July 15, 2025.

The game is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC through Steam and GOG.

Developed and published by Aspyr Media, Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition is based on the D&D 3.5 edition ruleset.

This remake of 2006’s Neverwinter Nights 2 brings full cross-platform support, mod support via Steam, a new UI, controller support, improved camera controls, polished gameplay mechanics, and enhanced textures. In addition to the base game, it also includes all three expansions: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate.

The title features a top-down third-person perspective view and allows players to control a hero built in accordance with the character creation rules of D&D. The game takes place in the city of Neverwinter and its surroundings, in the Sword Coast region of Faerûn.

The story of Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition follows an adventurer investigating a group of mysterious artifacts known as silver shards and their connection to an ancient, evil spirit known as the King of Shadows.

The recommended PC system requirements, according to the title’s Steam page, are 64-bit version of Windows 10; Intel Core i5-9600 or AMD Ryzen 7 1800 CPU; 16 GB of RAM; Nvidia GeForce RTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU with 8 GB of VRAM; and 40 GB of available storage space. The game also requires DirectX 11 compatibility.
