Diablo IV’s upcoming patch 2.3.1 includes balance changes that improve the Barbarian’s overall damage. Additionally, there are also a bunch of bug fixes aimed at Nightmare Dungeons, general gameplay and UI/UX.
The balance change part of the patch notes is short but provides a little bit of a shake-up. Barbarian’s Upheaval damage being increased from 132% to 200% is a huge improvement. Battle Trance’s lucky hit chance is also being increased from 10% to 20%, and its damage bonus is increased from 15%-30% to 30%-60%, among many other changes to its kit.
The Spiritborn is also receiving some changes. Aspect of Pestilence’s damage bonus is increased from 35%-75% to 50%-90%. Payback’s damage is also being slightly increased from 125% to 150%. Finally, another damage adjustment is being made, but this time it’s with Razor Wings — from 75%, it now deals 95%.
General changes include adjustments to how many Artificer’s Stones are awarded to the player starting from Tier 70 of The Pit. Legion events now have more salvage materials and Forgotten Souls in Torment difficulties, among many others.
Diablo IV’s patch 2.3.1 will be available on July 15, 2025, a few weeks after the newest season, Sins of the Horadrim, was dropped. On July 1, Diablo IV joined PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass’s catalog, making it more accessible to a lot of players.
