Developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and published by EA Sports, EA Sports FC 24 became the 31st overall installment of EA Sports’ football simulation games and the inaugural installment in the EA Sports FC series, following the conclusion of the partnership between Electronic Arts and FIFA with FIFA 23 in 2023.
The game was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on September 29, 2023, and reached 11.3 million players in its first week.
While specific global sales figures regarding EA Sports FC 24 are not publicly disclosed, EA reported a 7% year-over-year increase in net bookings for its soccer franchise during the 2024 fiscal year, demonstrating that the rebranding did not negatively impact the game’s financial performance.
