Sims 4 Update Marks Pregnancy Randomly, Including Men and Children

|
- The Enchanted by Nature accidentally spread a pregnancy bug throughout the game.
- Everyone, including men and children, is prone to being marked as pregnant; nobody is protected.
- Not every player has been affected.
After the Enchanted by Nature expansion within Sims 4, random Sims have been marked pregnant. Nobody is protected from these unintentional pregnancies, including men and children. Although the occurrence appears random, not every player is affected, but the increased frequency of the bug report has warranted curiosity from the player base. This is not the first time a bug of this nature has occurred, as a similar instance plagued the game in February of 2025.
According to the bug reports, courtesy of the r/Sims4 subreddit, because of the latest update “the game no longer knows what pregnancy is.”
“There is currently a bug report of ‘Sims not being able to take pregnancy tests’ and ‘Sims cannot try for baby’. It seems that the game is flagging Sims who are not pregnant, as pregnant,” the pinned comment reads on the Reddit post.
According to the bug reports, the pregnancy code is completely spaghetti at the moment. Numerous reports indicate that pregnancy tests do not work, and random people are being marked pregnant when they are not.
Sims 4 was released in 2014 and has achieved 85 million players worldwide. Despite being 11 years old, EA is still updating the game, implementing new events and game functions catered towards keeping the experience fresh and rewarding.
