Rainbow Six Siege X Teases Collaboration With Borderlands

|
- Rainbow Six Siege X is teasing a collaboration with Borderlands.
- While the developers still have not detailed the collaboration, it’s safe to assume that a few cosmetics will be added.
- The developers will reveal more information on July 15.
On July 9, 2025, Rainbow Six Siege X uploaded a video of Psycho, a character from Borderlands, dropping a lighter with Rainbow Six Siege X’s logo on it. The video then transitioned to a reminder asking fans to stay tuned on July 15.
Rainbow Six Siege X isn’t new to collaborations. The game has had event tie-ins with the NieR franchise and even Arknights. For now, the developers are keeping the Borderlands collaboration items under wraps.
However, it’s fair to expect that cosmetics for certain operators will be added to the game. Most tie-in events in Rainbow Six Siege have added something similar. For example, outfits based on Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine appeared in the game when a collaboration with Resident Evil was announced. Charms and weapon skins have also been added.
The game’s collaboration with Borderlands comes at a pivotal moment for the franchise. Borderlands has a new game coming out on Sept. 12, 2025, and this tie-in event puts its name out there for a lot more people to see.
Rainbow Six Siege X was initially titled Rainbow Six Siege and was released in 2015. Recently, the game underwent a significant update, transitioning to a free-to-play model and introducing increased interactivity in maps. The update was released on June 10, 2025, and also marked the change of the game’s name to Rainbow Six Siege X.
