Simultaneously with release of eFootball, Konami also dropped the Pro Evolution Soccer brand, which existed since the launch of the same-named game on October 25, 2001.
The 2025 30th Anniversary Campaign brings to the game Highlight Cards featuring special versions of Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal as daily login rewards available for claim until July 31, 2025.

On top of that, a special player list titled Epic: Legends Assemble Special will become available on July 24, 2025. From the list’s player roster, Kaká has already been showcased, with the rest of the athletes promised for reveal soon. To sign one of the 15 players from the list, players must unlock a Selection Contract by completing anniversary objectives.
Players can also complete a series of campaign objectives to earn major rewards, which will unlock in stages on July 10, July 17, and July 24, 2025. By finishing all objectives, user will receive the eFootball 30th Anniversary Strip, seven Big Time: 30th Anniversary Chance Deals, the Selection Contract, and several training items. In total, players will also earn 100 eFootball Coins, 120,000 EXP, and 210,000 GP.
The cherry on top of the 2025 30th Anniversary Campaign is the drop of the Epic: World Classics pack in eFootball. The pack returns three legendary players, Pelé, Johan Cruyff, and Ferenc Puskás, each showcased with a classic card design. Pelé comes with two Show Time skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Phenomenal Pass. Cruyff, in turn, brings Momentum Dribbling to the pitch, while Puskás also features Phenomenal Pass.

From July 10 to 17, 2025 players will be able to join the Penalty Shootout event, earning 20,000 EXP and a Position Training Program for completed challenges. From July 17 to 24, 2025 the Golden Goal event takes over, using sudden-death rules where scoring the first goal secures victory, along with a Random Booster Token and additional EXP. After that, the Flexible event will run until July 31,2025 allowing players to face AI opponents at varying difficulty levels where higher levels offer better rewards, including Big Time: 30th Anniversary Chance Deals.
Throughout the entire 2025 30th Anniversary Campaign, eFootball players can also take part in the Long Journey Tour Event. By collecting 20,000 event points in AI matches, they’ll be able to unlock a variety of rewards, including a Random Booster Token, multiple Training Programs, 50 eFootball Coins, 60,000 EXP, and 90,000 GP.
Konami’s eFootball offers two types of gameplay. The first, titled Authentic Team, allows players to control virtual copies of real soccer teams in offline sessions against AI bots or locally with friends. The second game mode, titled Dream Team, allows players to play online and offline matches with a unique team created by hiring coaches and players, where each formation can be customized with its own name, uniform, and playing style.
The game was initially released for Windows PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on September 30, 2021, and was later ported to Android and iOS on June 2, 2022.
