A collaboration between Tekken 8 and Pac-Man was revealed during a livestream dedicated to the fighting title’s update on June 7, 2025.
Tekken 8 will receive a collaborative Pac-Man-themed, two-layered stage on July 11, 2025, and on June 8, 2025, for early access players.
While the first floor of the stage is breakable in the center, the second, lower level will allow Floor Blast opponents in one of the five areas to trigger the enhanced version of Pac-Spark.
The new stage will be available along with exclusive collaboration items like the Pac-Man head until Oct. 6, 2025.
The livestream also mentioned Tekken 8’s upcoming collaboration with Atelier Ryza: The Alchemist of Memories & the Enchanted Land and the next DLC character, Fahkumram.
It is worth noting that the Tekken 8 and Pac-Man collaboration comes in the year of the latter’s 45th anniversary.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Arika and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Tekken 8 was released for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S on Jan. 26, 2024. The title is the eighth main installment and 10th overall entry in the Tekken series and also the first to debut on home gaming systems instead of arcades. Notably, Tekken 8 surpassed 3 million copies sold in one year, as reported by Gaming.News in February 2025.
The game features the same fighting format as previous Tekken installments. The base story mode of Tekken 8 is titled The Dark Awakens and follows the main protagonist, Jin Kazama, in his final confrontation against antagonist Kazuya Mishima six months after the events of the previous games.
As of the time of writing, Tekken 8 has a “Mixed” rating on Steam with 37,096 reviews and a peak of 49,977 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
