A celebratory content pack dedicated to the Fourth of July became available in the free-to-play battle royale Off The Grid.

The content drop became available on July 3, 2025, bringing to the game the Yankee Doodle Damage character skin and Boomslang Second Amender weapon along with Firework Farts and Freedom emote.

Developed and published by Gunzilla Games, Off The Grid is currently available in early access mode on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store featuring a 60-hour narrative campaign. In this title set in a cyberpunk dystopia, players fight on the fictional Teardrop Island as participants in a mysterious competition, using high-tech cybernetic prosthetics along with futuristic military weapons and equipment. Off The Grid is played from a third-person perspective in PvE or PvP matches of up to 150 competitors.

The game entered early access on October 8, 2024, for all platforms except Steam, due to Valve’s policy that prohibits the use of cryptocurrency and NFTs. While the latter are present in the game, they are optional, according to the title’s developer. As of the time of writing, Off The Grid’s Steam page features July 2025 as the release date.

Notably, the game’s lore is supported by a sci-fi cinematic series by Neill Blomkamp, the director behind 2013’s Elysium, 2015’s Chappie and the 2023’s sports drama film Gran Turismo. Titled as Off The Grid Cinema the series has two episodes, Switcher and Vincent, as of July 2025.
