Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Community Update Details Future Roadmap

As a celebration of the game’s continued support, Saber Interactive announced continued development for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2. The game offers a second year of free and paid DLC content, with a new yearly season pass on the way. Additionally, the title’s 10.0 update is planned for September to introduce massive changes to the game, including a new PvP game mode. 

The new game mode takes place on a new map with two opposing sides and was initially scheduled to release during the 9.0 update. The mode is to feature Chaos versus Chaos rather than Loyalists versus Chaos. New Chaos armors are being added, in addition to a new melee weapon, the Power Axe. Players will be able to control Helbrute in the new game mode.

As of writing, Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 9.0 update has no set release date, but the 10.0 update is scheduled for September. 

Over the weekend, Saber Interactive announced that they have an extended refund and discount policy for their Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition, the prequel to Space Marine 2. Here is the studio’s refund policy, according to the official Steam posting: 

• If you’ve already purchased Space Marine: Master Crafted Edition, you are eligible for a full refund, regardless of playtime, as long as you request it before 6pm BST/10pm PST July 10 2025 (when the Steam Summer Sale ends).
• If you own Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Anniversary Edition, you’re eligible for a 50% discount when buying the Master Crafted Edition from 6pm BST/10pm PST June 26 2025 until 6pm BST/10pm PST July 10 2025 when the discount offer ends.
  New buyers who already own the original game will see the discount automatically applied at checkout.
• If you already purchased the Master Crafted Edition and qualify for the discount, you’ll need to:
  • 1. Request a refund manually via Steam Support (before July 10) 2. Then re-purchase the game at the discounted price.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is a online multiplayer title that released on Sep. 9, 2024. The game is currently on sale on Steam with a 40% discount until July 10, and has sold over 7 million cumulative copies.
