Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 won’t see any change to the October 2025 release window, as was officially announced by the game’s developer, The Chinese Room.
The announcement was made by studio director Marco Behrmann, who stated that the game is moving toward the planned release period, receiving multiple content updates and no changes regarding the launch.
Published by Paradox Interactive, the sequel to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S.
The game follows the story of an elder vampire called Phyre, living in 21st-century Seattle, spread across five districts: Uptown, Financial, Downtown, Chinatown and Industrial. Players will need to choose one of four vampiric clans to join — Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, or Ventrue, each offering unique vampiric abilities — while feeding on mortals and avoiding discovery.
The developer has already announced that two more, unspecified clans will be added to the game as DLC.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, which has seen a change of developer, has been postponed multiple times since it was officially announced in 2019. The Chinese Room, known for narrative-driven titles like Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, took over from the initial developer, Hardsuit Labs, in 2023 and has been reshaping the game ever since.
As Gaming.News reported less than a week ago, The Chinese Room saw an undisclosed number of layoffs, which apparently didn’t critically affect the game’s development.
