Rematch Scores 3M Unique Players Within Its First Week of Launch

|
- Rematch has officially reached 3 million unique players from all platforms.
- The game still has no crossplay.
- Rematch is available on PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Rematch has officially reached 3 million unique players from all platforms. The news comes just four days after the developers published a post mentioning that the game has reached 1 million unique players.
Despite its growing popularity, the game’s player count on Steam has slowly been dwindling. It has not surpassed its all-time peak of 92,840 concurrent players, which was set during its launch day six days ago. However, most of its players may be from other platforms.
One of Rematch’s biggest problems is its lack of crossplay, which limits the people a person can play with, essentially narrowing the pool of opponents to those who are on the same platform.
Sloclap, the developers of Rematch, have announced that it is prioritizing the implementation of the feature but has not mentioned an expected release date. Players on social media have expressed their disappointment with the lack of crossplay, with some of them mentioning that they’ve canceled their pre-orders and will only buy it after it gets added to the game.
Rematch was released on June 19, 2025. It’s currently available on PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X|S. It is also currently free on Game Pass.
