Sega Mistakenly Reveals Sales of Various Games in Recent Management Meeting

|
- Sega has deleted a PDF from its website that included the sales figures of some of its games.
- Most of the sales figures of the games in the PDF were unannounced, including Metaphor: ReFantazio, reaching 2 million copies sold.
- No acknowledgement of the feat is also present on both Sega and Atlus West social media accounts.
Sega released a PDF containing sales figures of its games on June 18, 2025. However, the company included games that shouldn’t be in the document, as a few days later, it was removed from its website.
Luckily, a ResetEra thread has popped up laying down all the information about the other games in the PDF before the document was removed. Here are the total sales numbers of each game:
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth – 1.6 million
- Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased Their Name – 960,000
- Persona 3 Reload – 2.07 million
- Sonic Superstars – 2.4 million
- Sonic Frontiers – 4.5 million
- Total War: WARHAMMER III – 2.3 million
- Shin Megami Tensei V (including Vengeance) – 2.1 million
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon – 2.8 million
- Persona 5 Royal (including Remaster version) – 7.2 million
- Team Sonic Racing – 3.5 million
- Total War: THREE KINGDOMS – 3.2 million
Additionally, the PDF has also been cited by various other outlets as containing information that Metaphor: ReFantazio has sold 2 million copies since its release on Oct. 11, 2024. But since the original file is no longer available, there’s no way to confirm this information.
Neither the official Atlus West nor the Sega social media accounts have released information about the sales numbers either. No acknowledgement of Metaphor: ReFantazio selling 2 million copies can be seen on them either.
