Monster Hunter Wilds’ 24-Hour Peak Players Now Lower Than Monster Hunter World Despite Record Launch

|
- Monster Hunter Wilds has lost 98.7% of its concurrent players compared to its 24-hour peak to its all-time peak at its launch.
- Players have complained that the game is unoptimized and doesn’t have a real endgame.
- Capcom announced that it will release Monster Hunter Wilds’ second free title update later this month.
Monster Hunter Wilds has lost 98.7% of its concurrent players compared to its 24-hour peak to its all-time peak at its launch on Steam. As of the time of writing, the game’s 24-hour peak is only at 17,101. This is much lower than Monster Hunter World’s 24-hour peak of 25,244.
The problem stemmed from players leaving negative reviews under Wilds’ Steam page, saying that the game is unoptimized. A lot of players are complaining about the game crashing or not running at all for various reasons. Additionally, they are also complaining about the game’s difficulty being too easy.
Another point the players have brought up is that the game does not have a proper endgame. Usually, in games like Monster Hunter, the endgame is where the players spend most of their time grinding weapons or armor and just enjoy the game’s mechanics and new monsters. However, Wilds doesn’t have a lot of monsters in the game, which can make it very repetitive.
Monster Hunter Wilds had a record-breaking release on Feb. 28. It reached more than 1 million concurrent users on Steam and sold more than 10 million copies just a month after its release. Capcom has announced that it will be releasing the game’s second free title update later this month.
