Dune: Awakening has sold over a million copies, making it Funcom’s fastest-selling game to date. The news of a million copies was shared on the official Steam page on June 23, where the developers commemorated the milestone alongside other statistics. 

According to the infographic shared by Funbcom, 121,65,785 building pieces have been used. 66,883 deaths to sandstorms were recorded, 517,585 Ornthopters were crafted, and 6,110,692,000 grams of spice were consumed. The devs also communicated directly with the community via Reddit, where representatives of Funcom actively answered questions regarding the game. 

The Creative Director, Executive Producer, Senior Game Director, and Lead Producer answered as many questions as possible for a limited period of time, including concerns regarding quality of life changes alongside plans for PvE in the future. According to the questionnaire thread, the developers plan on releasing PvE DLC every three to four months. 

Dune: Awakening was released on June 10 on Steam; the console versions are slated to release on an undisclosed date in 2026. The title surpassed 140,000 concurrent peak players on Steam the day of release. Prior to release, during its head start period, Dune: Awakening amassed nearly 100,000 players.
