BAFTA 2025 Young Game Designers Award Winners Announced

All five of the BAFTA 2025 Young Game Designers award winners were announced, a competition where aspiring game designers aged between 12 and 18 years old compete. The competition saw 52 young game developer finalists pitted against one another for either the Game Concept Award or the Game Making Award.

13-year-old Thiago van Vlerken Rene received the Game Making Award for Sir Floofington. 14-year-old Tanisi Rawat won the Game Concept Award for The Undead. Luke Rayfield earned the Game Making Award for Furniture Fu, while Isabelle Taylor and Emily Sun both won the Game Concept Award for Mikka Bouzu.  

“BAFTA is dedicated to supporting emerging talent, and this year’s Young Game Designers are no exception. […] We continue to work hard to champion the cultural contribution games make and to ensure the industry is accessible to everyone.” BAFTA executive director said, according to Games Inudstry.biz.

The winners will be featured in various UK museums alongside BAFTA’s London Headquarters. The BAFTA Young Game Designers competition is an annual event that has run for 15 years, helping nurture future talent in the UK games industry.
