LoL Arena Mode returns on June 25 as a part of patch 25.13 — the return was announced after the community provided overwhelmingly positive feedback for the game mode during its initial span, alongside the temporary game mode concluded its run. According to the official League of Legends blog post, LoL Arena Mode is slated to remain for at least the next 12 months.
“When it went away, we saw players actively looking for it and telling us how much they enjoyed it as an alternate way to play League. We heard the conversations in the community across the globe, saw all the tags of our official accounts, and even one region flooded the PBE where Arena was still accessible for them,” the official blog post reads.
Riot plans to update the game mode similarly to how they balance ARAM. Therefore, gameplay adjustments are expected during the typical patch updates.
Arena Mode initially debuted on July 20, 2023; it was a limited-time game mode included as a part of the Soul Fighter event. Arena saw numerous updates and event cycles tied to League of Legends’ primary 5v5 game mode. The upcoming iteration of Arena Mode is expected to keep the Noxus theme.
