- Intel is reportedly working on another Arc Battlemage GPU, with a PCI Express 5.0 interface on board that supports 16 PCI Express lanes.
- Two more Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs were spotted, all featuring a PCIe 5.0 interface on board and support for 8 PCIe lanes.
- Intel’s share of the discrete graphics card market in the first quarter of 2025 dropped to below 1%.
Intel is reportedly working on another Arc Battlemage GPU, with a PCI Express 5.0 interface on board that supports 16 PCI Express lanes.
According to the Japanese leaker a brand-new Intel product codenamed 99CMLN was registered in the PCI-SIG (Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group) database on May 9, 2025.
Notably, according to the same source, on May 8, 2025, two more Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs with the codenames 99D5KJ, and 99CW89 were added to the PCI-SIG database, both featuring a PCIe 5.0 interface on board and support for 8 PCIe lanes.
This could mark a possible Intel’s shift from the PCI Express (PCIe) 4.0 to PCIe 5.0 as the base option.
As for the data of GPU which supports 16 PCI Express lanes it could be related to the launch of a new Pro Battlemage GPU or a boosted version of the Arc B580, whose current model already features a PCIe 5.0 interface but supports only 8 PCIe lanes.
As was reported by Gaming.News earlier this month, Intel’s share of the discrete graphics card market in the first quarter of 2025 dropped to below 1%.
