A reputable Fortnite leaker by the name of HYPEX said that the game will be collaborating with Son Heung-Min, a soccer superstar, on June 21. Included in the collaboration are a few skin styles and his iconic “Click” celebration he does whenever he scores a goal.
HYPEX also mentioned that the game will collaborate with more Korean stars and media. The collaboration with certain K-Pop groups, Son Heung-Min, and Squid Game is just the beginning.
Son Heung-Min is a soccer player who’s currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. He’s often cited as the greatest Asian soccer player of all time, as well as one of the best players in the world in general.
He’s known for his overall flexibility in the pitch, being able to play a lot of positions. However, he’s mostly slotted in the forward position, leading his team and scoring whenever a counter-attack opportunity presents itself. On top of that, his kindness inside and outside the court has gained him a lot of fans.
Fortnite has collaborated with sports superstars before. Quite recently, they had a collaboration with baseball star Shohei Ohtani, which saw the addition of his dog, Decoy, into the game.
