High On Life 2, a comedic first-person shooter set in a science fiction world featuring talking guns, is slated for release in winter 2025/2026.

The game developed by Squanch Games will be launched for Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Play Anywhere, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one of release.

The sequel will introduce a new intergalactic conspiracy that again threatens the fate of humanity.

Besides a loadout of several talking weapons from the original High On Life, new shooting buddies will join the roster in the second part.

The first title in the High On Life series was launched for Xbox and PC, received a PlayStation port six months later, and a Nintendo Switch version three years after the initial release. The game also got a High on Knife DLC a year after launch.

First High On Life was the most played title on Xbox Game Pass during the week of its release and was the fourth most played title on the Xbox platform overall, behind only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto V, according to Xbox VP of Marketing Aaron Greenberg.

As of time of writing High On Life featured a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 16,031 reviews.
