Dune: Awakening Surpasses 140,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

Dune: Awakening launched on PC on June 10, 2025 — the title surpassed 140,000 concurrent peak players on Steam the day of release. Prior to release, during its head start period, Dune: Awakening amassed nearly 100,000 players.
The base game costs $49.99, and is an open-world MMO that also utilizes survival game mechanics. Dune: Awakening supports both PvP and cooperative functionality. As of now, the game is only available on PC – it is expected to release in 2026 for PlayStation and Xbox.

CHANGES
- Deployed another set of changes to further improve the game server and client stability.
- Added more localization.
FIXES
- Fixed an issue where the in-game UI showed the name of the Sietch when visiting while in the Streamer Mode.
- Fixed an issue where players could sometimes see selected NPCs offset from their normal position.
- Fixed a rare issue where players with above-minimum hardware could sometimes receive a pop-up warning that their hardware was below minimum specifications.
Dune: Awakening currently sits at “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. Many reviews praise the survival game mechanics, which includes managing water and time to travel across the hazardous desert.
