The app has a personalized home with highlight updates and events tailored to the players’ data. The Play Together tab allows players to observe what their friends are playing.
Players can view leaderboards for supported titles. Apple’s goal is to increase the competitive experience for single-player games. iPad and MacBook will have Game Overlay, allowing players to access Game Center features without leaving the game.
The Apple Games App was announced during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, an information technology conference that goes for June 9 to June 13. Over half a billion player game on their iPhone, according to Apple. The app is marketed to help gamers get more out of their gaming experience.
Apple Arcade added nine new titles to its catalog, including Uno and Angry Birds Bounce. Apple Arcade’s catalog includes over 200 titles and gets expanded with regular monthly additions.
