Key points
  1. Blizzard retroactively awarded Devout Champion, Diablo IV’s rarest achievement.
  2. Devout Champion is received for reaching Paragon level 300 with any character.
  3. Paragon 300 is hopelessly out of reach for the overwhelming majority of players because of brutal time investment requirement.

Blizzard’s latest Diablo IV update handed out its rarest achievement, Devout Champion, to players who had already earned it on different platforms, as the game supports cross-progression across platforms but doesn’t automatically synchronize certain platform-specific accolades (like PlayStation Trophies or Xbox Achievements). Some achievments, such as ‘Get X kills with Y class’, still require players to complete the requirements if they play on a different platform.

Devout Champion is an achievement awarded for reaching Paragon level 300 with any character. It demands significant time investment — depending on player’s build, around 60 to 100 hours of optimized Pit runs, Horde clears, and other high-XP activities.

In Diablo IV, paragon experience gained in the Seasonal Realm doesn’t transfer to new seasons but can be rolled over into the Eternal Realm when the new season launches, where it continues to accumulate across seasons. Despite that, Paragon 300 is still hopelessly out of reach for the overwhelming majority of players, as XP requirements skyrocket toward the end — progressing from level 299 to 300 requires as much experience as going from Paragon 1 to 285 combined.

The current season in Diablo IV is Season 8, titled Belial’s Return, which started on April 29, 2025, following a two-week extension of Season 7, which concluded on the same date.

Diablo IV was released on June 5, 2023, for PlayStation 4|5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game has won four industry awards across different categories and received four honorable mentions. Title’s first major expansion pack Vessel of Hatred was launched on October 7, 2024.
