A press release they published mentioned that versus (VS) games typically required players to master multiple characters to be able to enjoy the game. But they also included a mode where players will only play one character and have the three other characters they picked as assists only.

Additionally, they also said that players have the choice between motion inputs or simple inputs when playing the game. Motion inputs have been a hurdle for newcomers when it comes to playing fighting games, and the introduction of simple inputs will lower the barrier of entry.

As of writing, the characters revealed to be in the game are:

  • Captain America
  • Iron Man
  • Spider-Man
  • Doctor Doom
  • Storm
  • Ms. Marvel
  • Star-Lord
  • Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)

The developers will announce more information about the game in the future.

As mentioned before, the game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be released in 2026.
